Adjust alarm sounds and chimes on your Samsung washer
You’ll always know when your laundry is finished, thanks to your Samsung washing machine’s completion chime and various alarm sounds. The alarm will go off during certain times, such as when the washing machine is turned on, when a wash cycle is done, and when buttons are pressed or touched. Although these notifications are convenient, you may not want to hear them every time. You can easily turn off some of these alarm sounds, such as the cycle completion chime, by pressing a button on your appliance.
Note: This function may not be available on all models.
Manage your washing machine’s sounds
Note: Turning the alarm sounds on and off is only available on select washing machine models. Please check your user manual for instructions specific to your model.
Your washing machine’s alarm sounds can be turned off if you’d rather not hear them. The following instructions will let you disable the cycle completion chime and the power off sound. Please note that button sounds will remain on.
To begin, you’ll need to press a button on your washing machine’s control panel. If the alarm sound setting is the secondary function of the button, you'll need to press and hold it for 3 seconds. The button will vary depending on the model, but it will most likely be one the following:
Super Speed button
Alarm Off button
Extra Rinse button
Note: Please refer to your user manual if these buttons do not appear on your washing machine’s control panel.
Your new settings will be kept even after turning off the washing machine. You will need to manually turn the sounds back on if desired.
To turn the sounds back on, repeat step 1.
You can repeat this process to disable and enable the alarm sounds at any time.
