Most newer TVs have buttons on the back right side. Without using the remote, press any button except the Power button. If anything appears on the screen, this confirms your TV is on. You can continue troubleshooting using our TV has no picture or a black screen guide.
If the TV's controls cause something to appear on the screen but the remote doesn't, then make sure to also troubleshoot your remote.
