Samsung dishwasher Waterwall reflector error code 7E or 7C

Samsung Waterwall reflector

The Waterwall reflector error (7E or 7C) occurs on your dishwasher when the WaterWall reflector is unable to move. This means something is blocking or holding it in place. It can also happen if it has not been reattached correctly. This can be easily fixed by removing obstructions and reattaching the reflector correctly.

  1. Check if the WaterWall reflector is blocked.

Make sure nothing is blocking the reflector, such as a pot handle, large knife, or ladle.

If the dishwasher was recently installed, make sure the packing tape has been removed. It runs along the top of the guide rail; remove the bottom rack to easily access the WaterWall assembly.WaterWall guide rail

  2. Check the WaterWall reflector's position.

When the WaterWall reflector is in the correct position, the WaterWall logo will face forward and upwards. WaterWall rail

  3. Fix an incorrectly installed WaterWall reflector.

If the WaterWall reflector is installed incorrectly, lift up on the vane to remove it, turn it around, and reseat it on the gray shuttle on the WaterWall rail.WaterWall Rail

  4. Power cycle the dishwasher.

If the reflector is installed properly but the error code or blinking lights remain, power cycle the dishwasher for two minutes to clear the error code. To perform a power cycle, simply shut the dishwasher's power off at the circuit breaker and then turn it on again.

While the dishwasher cannot be reset, turning the circuit breaker off and on is a good way to clear errors and minor issues.

  5. Repeat the previous steps.

It is exceptionally rare that this error code requires service. Once the WaterWall vane is assembled correctly and is no longer blocked from moving, the error code will go away (although a power cycle may be required to clear it).

However, if there's any kind of damage or defect to the unit, or if it continues to give the error after you're confident that it is properly assembled and power cycled, then visit our Support Center to request service. Please be aware that if the technician does not find a defect with the unit, that the service visit would not be covered under warranty.
