Items on Samsung monitor's screen are too large or small

You might feel like Alice in Wonderland or Goldilocks trying to get the items (like icons and text) on your monitor to not be too large or too small. Fortunately, this is as simple as adjusting a setting on your computer.

It is possible to adjust the 'size' of items on your monitor by reducing the resolution, however this will degrade visual quality and you will not have as much 'room' on your monitor, so it is not recommended. If you reduce the resolution, make sure to select a resolution with the same aspect ratio as the native resolution, or the image will be stretched.

Adjusting the size of most items is easy. In Windows, open the Start menu and search for Make text and other items larger or smaller. You can find similar instructions for Mac computers on their support site.

In many applications, especially web browsers and word processors, the default method to zoom in and out is to hold Ctrl and scroll the mouse-wheel up and down. If the mouse doesn't have a wheel, often using the + and - keys (while holding Ctrl) on the keyboard will work as well. Many applications also have a zoom function available in their menus. This varies between applications.

Lines on the monitor or Odyssey Ark gaming screen (of any color, position, or opacity) definitely indicate a problem. However, the issue may be with your video cable and not the monitor itself.

Many newer monitors include built-in speakers. If the monitor's speakers are not working, it's usually due to incorrectly configured settings or cables. There are a few things you can do to solve this issue, like checking your connections, adjusting the volume, performing a sound test, or playing sound using a device other than your monitor.

By default, most laptops go to sleep when they are closed, even when an external monitor or Odyssey Ark gaming screen is connected. However, it's pretty easy to adjust this setting if you don't like it.

Samsung monitor display is blank

The most common reason for a blank monitor or Odyssey Ark gaming screen is that it's turned off, it's hibernating, or it's using a screen saver. Assuming that's not the case, you'll need to identify if the problem is with the monitor or with the connected device.
