Check for BIOS updates.
- Open Samsung Update. If it has been uninstalled it can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store.
- If a BIOS update is available, it will be listed on the Drivers tab. Other updates may also be available, so click Update All.
- Some updates may require reboots or other interaction, so follow any instructions that may appear.
- If the BIOS screen does not appear, please change the DisplayPort version on the monitor. Navigate to: Menu > System > DisplayPort Version > 1.1 or 1.2.
Update Windows.
Windows updates will include patches for vulnerabilities such as these, as well as performance and functionality upgrades.
- Open the Start Menu and then click the Settings icon.
- Click Update & Security.
- Click Windows Update.
- Click Check for updates. If any updates are available, they will automatically start downloading and installing. Some updates may require a reboot, but you will be given an opportunity to save anything you are working on before the PC shuts down.
