Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 FAQ

What do I need to qualify for this promotion?

You must purchase a GALAXY Z FOLD5 or GALAXY Z FLIP5 in the U.S. from Samsung or a Samsung authorized distributor prior to July 31st, 2024, and register the device using your My Samsung account.  Your purchase date will be determined based on the activation date of the device or proof of purchase. 

 

If you created a My Samsung account during the setup process of your GALAXY Z FOLD5 or GALAXY Z FLIP5 device, it is possible your device has been registered already.

What if I purchase the device from another person (Second hand purchase)?

The discounted screen repair offer is extended only to the original purchaser who purchased the device new from an authorized sales channel; As a second owner the offer is no longer applicable. 

How do I get my Fold or Flip repaired at the discounted repair price on this promo?

It’s simple; Start by visiting https://117.p.syniva.es/us/support/service/ and Click ‘Start a Repair’. You will be prompted to log in to your Samsung Account.  Find your device under “My Products" section, click on “Request Service” and follow the steps for a service option of your choosing.

Do I need a My Samsung account to qualify for the one-time repair discounted?

Yes.  Having a My Samsung account allows you to find and request service easily from your My Products page, which is available after logging in to your Samsung Account. 

Can I use this offer price on other repairs such as the front screen or back glass?

No, the promotion is only applicable to the repair of the interior folding screen.

Can I have my device repaired locally?

Absolutely. Follow the steps to create your Samsung account, if you haven’t already.  Go to https://117.p.syniva.es/us/support/service/ click on “Request a Repair”, enter your Samsung credentials, select your device and click “Request Service”,  Select Walk-In, enter your zip code and pick the most convenient location to you.

What if there is more damage than the interior folding screen that needs repair?

You will still be able to get the promotional price for the internal screen repair. Additional damages will be assessed by a Samsung authorized repair technician.  If covered under Samsung’s Standard Limited Warranty, there would not be a cost and the repair will be completed.  However, if the damages are deemed Out of Warranty (physical/liquid damage), payment would be required to proceed with the repair of your device. A partial repair of only the internal folding screen cannot be completed if additional damages exist.

Can I Mail-In my device for repair and still qualify for the discounted repair promotion?

Yes. There are a couple of options available for mailing in your device for repair:

 

  1. QR Code: Receive a QR code via email. Take your device to the nearest UPS Store and they will package the device and print the next day shipping label for you. Or; 
  2. Prepaid Packaging & Shipping: Receive a box and printed UPS shipping label as soon as next day.  Use the box and follow the instructions to package your phone securely, close the box and affix the next business day label to the box.   Next, take it to the nearest UPS shipping location to send the device to our repair facility.

 

Note: Your repaired device will typically be returned within 5-7 business days from the date UPS ships your device to Samsung.                                      

What information is required to Request Service?

Whether you request service online or by calling 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864), you will be prompted to confirm/provide the device’s IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number.  This number can be found on the box the phone came in, etched on the back of the phone, or within the phone itself (About Phone).  Additionally, you will be asked to provide symptoms and a brief description of the issue(s) being experienced.

(“SAMSUNG” or “SEA”) MAKES THE FOLLOWING SCREEN REPAIR PRICE OFFER FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP5 and GALAXY Z FOLD5 ( “OFFER”) TO ELIGIBLE CUSTOMERS (SEE “ELIGIBILITY” BELOW), SUBJECT TO THESE OFFER TERMS: Samsung reserves the right to change or add to these Offer Terms at any time. ELIGIBILITY:

CUSTOMERS WHO BUY A SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FLIP5 and GALAXY Z FOLD5 DEVICE FROM SAMSUNG OR ITS AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTORS (“Eligible Customers”) ON or BEFORE the Offer Expiration Date, JULY 31, 2024 (“Qualifying Purchase”), MAY OBTAIN A ONE-TIME ELIGIBLE INTERIOR FOLDING SCREEN REPAIR (DEFINED BELOW) WITHIN TWO (2) YEARS OF THE ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE AND PAY A PRICE OF $200.00 for GALAXY Z FLIP5 or $250 for GALAXY Z FOLD5 (THE “OFFER PRICE”) FOR SUCH REPAIR.

The Offer is open only to legal residents of the United States, including the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U. S. Virgin Islands (“United States”) who are at least 18 years old as of the date of purchase. The Offer is void outside the United States and where prohibited or restricted by law. Eligible customers who participate in this Offer are collectively referred to in these Offer Terms as “you” and “your.” To obtain an Eligible Screen Repair at the Offer Price, you must provide Samsung or its authorized representatives or service providers (“Service Providers”) verification of your identity and proof of eligibility, including the date of Qualifying Purchase of a Samsung GALAXY Z FOLD5 or GALAXY Z FLIP5 to be repaired at the Offer Price.

QUALIFYING PURCHASE.

The Offer applies only to Samsung GALAXY Z FOLD5 and GALAXY Z FLIP5 devices that were purchased in the United States from SEA or SEA’s authorized distributors prior to the Offer Expiration Date. To qualify for the Offer Price, the Samsung GALAXY Z FOLD5 or GALAXY Z FLIP5 must be labeled with an FCC ID, found on the device under Settings > About Phone > Status Information > FCC Certification, or in the user manual.

ELIGIBLE ONE-TIME DISCOUNTED SCREEN REPAIR

Within two (2) years of the date of a Qualifying Purchase, Samsung will provide one (1) repair of the interior folding screen of a GALAXY Z FOLD5 or GALAXY Z FLIP5 device in return for payment of the Offer Price. To obtain the repair at the Offer Price, you must (a) submit your request via Samsung.com, (b) have or create a My Samsung Account and (c) register the GALAXY Z FOLD5 or GALAXY Z FLIP5 device, in order to (d) create a repair request if choosing to Mail-in a device or use it to schedule an appointment at a Samsung-authorized walk-in repair center (“Service Provider”). Initiate the repair request via the Samsung account using the “Request Service” button. You may also visit https://117.p.syniva.es/us/support/service/ to start a Request a Repair process or locate Service Providers. The Offer Price applies to repairs for damages from any cause other than defects covered by Samsung’s standard limited warranty, except damage Samsung determines to be due to abuse or misuse, including use for other than personal purposes as recommended by Samsung, such as use in a hazardous, commercial or industrial setting. When requesting a repair at the Offer Price, you must provide (i) the date of purchase and identifying information for your device, such as the IMEI number (found on device under Settings > About Phone); (ii) the name of the seller from whom it was purchased; (iii) receipts or other proof of purchase sufficient to show a Qualifying Purchase. Inaccurate, illegible or incomplete receipts are not acceptable.

ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS:

Only one repair at the Offer Price can be made per Qualifying Purchase. The Offer Price will not apply to any subsequent repairs or to repairs other than as specified in these Offer Terms. The Offer Price is not available for repairs requested by commercial service or repair providers or made to bulk quantities of devices.

TERMINATION OF OFFER OR SUBSTITUTION OF SERVICES:

Samsung reserves the right to terminate this Offer at any time in its sole and absolute discretion with or without notice. You may not substitute or exchange the Offer for any other goods or services or apply the Offer Price to anything other than an Eligible Screen Repair. Samsung will not provide any credit, reimbursement, refund or other consideration for repairs you obtain other than as stated in these Offer Terms.

You hold harmless and release from liability officers, directors, agents and employees of Samsung, Service Providers, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, and affiliated entities, (individually and collectively "Offer Entities"), and acknowledge and agree Offer Entities are not responsible for: failures or difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for any damage to any person’s computer or devices related to the Offer. GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Decisions by Samsung are final and binding in all matters relating to the Offer. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are your sole responsibility. Samsung reserves the right, to disqualify any individual found, in its sole opinion, to be acting in violation of these Offer Terms, or to otherwise be acting in bad faith with respect to the Offer.
